Bowers Mill, a 17th-century water-powered fulling mill located in Barkisland, is enveloped by the stunning Yorkshire countryside within a serene valley. Originally serving as a key part of the local textile industry, the mill was repurposed into multiple units beginning in the late 1990s. Fast forward to 2023, Bowers Mill has transformed into a bustling center for business, leisure, and industry, all while maintaining its historical charm – click for more pictures and history.
Textile production is still active onsite with Peter Jacksons at the lower end of the site, there is a gym called Valley Fit, a hotel called the Bowers Apart-hotel and an event space and wedding venue called The Venue.
